GROUCHO’S TRIVIA NIGHT

Trivia night is played on every Sunday between November and Mid May, and starts @ 7:30pm SHARP!

Teams may consist of up to 6 people.

We play our trivia in 2 ways:

1. Weekly for Cash & Prizes

2. In our Groucho's League, with Cash & Prizes of over $10,000 at the end of our season.

We will also take all teams that participate in the Groucho's Trivia League to a Chicago White Sox game during the summer, Courtesy of Miller Brewing Company.

No Rosters are necessary to play in the league, just make sure you choose a team name, and stay with is ALL year. That way your points total will accumulate each time you play.

Trivia is played in four rounds.

10 First Round Questions,

10 Second Round Questions,

8 Third Round Questions,

& 4 Fourth Round Questions.

The last question in each round is always and audio question, so it helps if someone on your team has a strong and diverse musical knowledge.

& GENERAL TRIVIA

Playing is EASY!!

Our hosts will read the questions and when your team comes up with the answer you just bring it up to our hosts table and we score it. Any team who correctly answers the question receives points for that question. If your team is the only team to answer the question, your team gets DOUBLE POINTS!!

This is the point where the fun begins, Sometimes the answers submitted are too funny NOT to share with everyone else. It is the main reason that we feel we are unique in our trivia format.

The rules are few:

NO NEWSPAPERS,

BOOKS,

LAPTOPS,

CELLPHONES,

OR ANY ITEM THAT MIGHT BE A SOURCE OF INFORMATION.

One of the first bars in Chicago to feature a Trivia Night starting in 1980, we at Groucho's feel we are the best and most original Trivia Nights in town. And although the money has increased over the years and the competition become more intense, it's still all about having a good time out. The interaction between the teams and the moderators is usually the best part of the night!
